Susan B. Anthony

B.A., Political Science
U.S. Agency for International Development, New Entry Professional Program

This picture is of me eating a traditional Indian meal with my friends. In high school, my church raised $250,000 for third world countries. I got to represent the kids at my church on a trip to India. Ever since then, I knew I wanted to do something to contribute.

I found out about the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) through the person who organized my church’s trip to India. The job was listed on www.usaid.gov. Even though travel isn’t a part of my job, I still feel connected to what’s happening in other countries. It feels good to know I am part of such an awesome organization.

Success Story!
“During the interview, I was asked what I was seeking in an internship. I had done research on the history of Reclamation, their mission, and the many things they are involved with. This helped me to know where I would like to be and what I would like to be doing in Reclamation. Three weeks later I was offered a job for the summer in the Montana Area Office in Billings, MT and accepted the job!”
--Meredith Jones, BS, Civil Engineering, North Dakota State University
