KSA Builder

KSA Help | KSA Sample

Welcome to the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Builder.
This form will help you stay focused while writing your accomplishments and best success stories that will result in better reviews by Federal Human Resources Specialists. This Builder can be used for writing examples and essays for QuickHire Federal Announcement Questions, Presidential Management Fellow Application Accomplishments, and written KSAs. The Context-Challenge-Action-Results formula is interesting, impressive and includes all the elements of a success story which you can write about paid employment, volunteer assignments, class projects, internships or life experience.

  • Context - title of your job or role you are playing in this example
  • Challenge - what was the challenge of this example or project?
  • Action - what were your specific actions in this case?
  • Results - what happened?
  • Awards - did you get an award for this example?
  • Specialized Training - what training do you have that supports this KSA?

You can write two examples for each KSA. After you write this KSA, hit SEND. The content you have written will be emailed to you. Then go back to the builder and start writing your next KSA. The content will also be emailed to Resume Place if you have selected our editorial services.

Please review and print the sample KSA; also read the instructions. The KSAs are a very important component of the federal application. This is just like a test. Please take it seriously and give your answers and examples thought before submitting.
